P 28, bottom: In the description of how to work WEDGE 1, the pattern says to purl yarn overs tog with st tbl. It should say to knit them tog with st tbl.

HOW TO WORK WEDGES AFTER SEPARATING WORK INTO FRONTS AND BACK

 

LEFT FRONT

WEDGE 1 (worked straight after incs made in connection with sleeve)

Work to 10 sts from front edge, turn, yo and work back.

Work to 20 sts from front edge, (10 sts before last yo), turn, yo and work back.

Work to 30 sts from front edge, turn, yo and work back.

Cont to work to last 10 sts before last yo, until 60 sts have been ‘turned’ from front edge.

Knit 6 rows (3 garter ridges) in a new col without short rows.

 

WEDGE 2

Work to 6 sts from arm hole, turn, yo and work back.

Work to 16 sts from arm hole, turn etc…

Work to 26 sts from arm hole, turn etc…

Cont to work to 10 sts before last yo, until 56 sts have been ‘turned’ from arm hole.

 

WEDGE 3.

As WEDGE 1.

Knit 6 rows (3 garter ridges) in a new col without short rows.

Now work shoulder.

 

RIGHT FRONT is worked as left front, reversing shapings and using different colours for wedges and stripes.

 

BACK

WEDGE 1

Work to 98 sts from left arm hole, turn, yo etc…

Work to 86 sts from left arm hole, turn, yo etc…

Work to 74 sts from left arm hole, turn, yo etc…

Cont to work to 12 sts before last yo 8 times in total.

 

WEDGE 2

As WEDGE 1, reversing shapings.

Knit 8 rows (4 garter ridges) in a new col without short rows.

 

WEDGE 3

Work to 14 sts from right arm hole, turn, yo etc…

Work to 26 sts from right arm hole, turn, yo etc…

Work to 38 sts from right arm hole, turn, yo etc…

Cont to work to 12 sts before last yo 8 times in total.

 

WEDGE 4

As WEDGE 3, reversing shapings.

Now work shoulder.

 

Siberia

Using col A and 4.5 mm circular needles, cast on 268 (292) 316 sts. Change to col B and work WELTS in the round:

P 19, bottom of 1st column:

(Rnds 1 – 4: * K1 – Sl1 pwise wyif *. Rep fr * to *. Rep this rnd 3 times.
Rnds 5 – 6: Change to col A and knit 2 rnds.
Change to col B).
Rep brackets until edge measures approx. 5.5 (7) 8.5 cm and 3 (4) 5) repeats have been worked in height.

Rep rnds 1 – 4 in welts and col B.

Change to col C and 6 mm needles and K2tog on entire rnd, so number of sts is halved t 134 (146) 158 sts.

SLEEVES both alike

P 20, bottom of 1st column:
Change to col C and 6 mm needles and inc evenly spaced to 31 (34) 44 sts.
Mark 2 sts under sleeve and inc around these:
Size. S: On every 6th and 8th rnd alternately 10 times in total
Size M: On every 4th and 6th rnd alternately 14 times in total.

Size L: On every 4th and 6th rnd alternately 14 times in total.

Sleeve now measures approx. 40.5 (42) 43.5 cm and there are 51 (62) 72 sts on rnd.
Cast off the 2 marked sts + 2 sts on either side of these (= 6 sts in total).

RAGLAN and NECKLINE

Place front’s 71 (77) 83 sts – one sleeve’s 45 (56) 66 sts – back’s 71 (77) 83 sts and the other sleeve’s 45 (56) 66 sts on a circular needle.

RAGLAN and NECKLINE P 20, 2nd column below middle:

AT THE SAME TIME dec for raglan:

Size S:
1 st on every 4th rnd 6 times = 24 rnds and 6 sts
1 st on every 2nd rnd 8 times = 16 rnds and 8 sts = 14 sts on 40 rnds

RAGLAN and NECKLINE P 21, middle of 1st column:

Rem sts are purled from RS and knitted from WS. Work 5 rows.
On row 6 work 10 (12) 14 sts – turn – work 4 sts – turn – yo – work 4 sts.
Work 2 sts – turn – yo – work 2 sts.
Work the 10 (12) 14 sts and knit each yo tog with foll st. Break yarn and work 26 rows in total across the other 10 (12) 14 sts.
