ISAGER ARAN TWEED is a chunky single ply yarn with a rugged structure. It is well suited for thick outdoor sweaters and also works really well used for soft furnishings such as plaids and pillow, not least when worked together with Silk Mohair. Worked together with either Silk Mohair OR Alpaca 1 the yarn works really well in scarves and hats. Even though Aran Tweed is only available in a limited colour range the shades become legion when worked together with other yarns.

Aran Tweed used individually is knitted on 3.5 – 4.5 mm needles
Aran Tweed and Alpaca 1 held together are knitted on 4 – 5 mm needles
Aran Tweed and Alpaca 2 held together are knitted on 4.5 – 6 mm needles
Aran Tweed and Silk Mohair held together are knitted on 4 – 7 mm needles

70 % wool and 30 % mohair, spun in Ireland
Yarn meterage: 400 meters in 100g

ISAGER TWEED is a single ply and a blend of 70% wool and 30% mohair. This yarn has a slightly irregular, homespun look, yet the mohair fibres give the yarn a remarkable softness and a lovely sheen. Isager Tweed works equally well for both indoor and outdoor garments and with the small flecks in different colours the yarn has a very lively surface.
