Cont in this way, i.e. knit to 4 sts before last yo before turning work and making a yo. Cont working to 4 sts before last yo, until a total of 8 (9: 10: 11) times 4 sts have been ’turned’ at both sides and there are 36 (40: 44: 48) sts on each shoulder.

Page 46, 2nd column:

Pick up and knit 1 st for each garter ridge = 27 (31: 35: 39) sts. Also pick up and knit 27 (31: 35: 39) sts along armhole on back. 64 (72: 80: 88) sts …….

Pick up and knit 1 extra sts betw the 2 outermost sts against back, in order not to break patt (2 sts were knitted tog here on row 2 for a neat finish). Cont in brioche across back’s 27 (31: 35: 39) sts: * K1 – SL1yo *. Rep from * to * to last st; K1. 65 (73: 81: 89) sts.

Cont straight in brioche, until sleeve meas 35 (36: 37: 38) cm (154 (158: 162: 166) rows) or desired length. Decrease 4 (10: 16: 22) sts evenly spaced. 61 (63: 65: 67) sts. Please take care not to break stitch flow – i.e. knit 3 sts tog.
