MATERIALS AND MEASUREMENTS

MATERIALS:
350 (400, 450) g Isager Eco Melange, Color 8M = A (Main Color)
200 (200, 250) g Isager Spinni, Color 7s or 30 = B (Stripe Color)
50 (50, 50) g Isager Spinni, Color 6s = C (Alpaca Color)
Spinni is knitted while holding two strands together. If a somewhat lighter sweater is desired, the two strands of Spinni can be exchanged for one strand of Tvinni. If this exchange is done,
then the knitting gauge will be 26 stitches and 28 rows, which is a somewhat smaller size.

The amount of yarn required may vary slightly depending on the
desired width and length, so the yarn quantities listed are
guidelines.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES

The sweater is knitted from the bottom up on circular needles. It begins with the bottom band and continues in the stripe pattern with increases along the sides. Then, the band of alpacas is worked beneath the underarms.
After the band of alpacas, the side stitches for the armholes are set aside. Now, both sleeves are knitted (also in the round). The sleeves are then inserted above the armholes and then the knitting continues over all stitches in the stripe pattern. At the same time, the raglan decreases are worked on each side of 3 marked stitches.
The neckline can either be worked back and forth in rows or can be continued in the round until the end at which time the neckline will be reinforced, and excess fabric will be cut out. Finally, the collar is knitted, folded towards the inside and sewn into place.

4 mm (US 4) for the pattern
3 mm (US 2) for the edging bands
