ABOUT THE DESIGN
Little Inge Sweater is the children edition of Inge Sweater. I really think that the pattern is perfect also for children with its playfulness and the clear reference to the style of the 60s and 70s.
The pattern consists of only 3 colors, which makes it fun and simple to play with the colors. It is easy to personalize Little Inge Sweater simply by choosing different colors. The sweater can be playful but also very classic if you choose neutral colors.
I think Jensen Yarn is a perfect yarn for Little Inge Sweater – just like the original Inge Sweater. But I also like the soft combination of Merilin and Alpaca1 worked together, which I used for the sweater in neutral colors.
When making the pattern in sizes from 2 to 14 years, the big challenge was to get the pattern symmetrical and neat along the raglan increases to make the sweater look superb in both small and larger sizes.
Little Inge Sweater is knitted top down. The pattern is only worked in the round, as the short rows are worked before the pattern begins, and you knit with no more than two colors at a time.
RECOMMENDED NEEDLES
Circular needles 2.5 (US 2) and 3 mm (US 2.5) (40 cm).
Circular needles 3.5 (US 4) and 4.5 mm (US 7) (40 and 60-80 cm depending on chest width).
Double pointed needles 3.5 (US 4) and 4.5 (US 7) mm. If using magic loop technique, dpn are not needed

21 sts x approx. 24 r in pattern = 10 x 10 cm on 4.5 mm (US 7) size needles

ISAGER LITTLE ARCHIVES
I forbindelse med et strikkekursus i Tversted, hvor Helga Jona Thórunnardóttir og Helga Isager underviste i teknikker, brugt i Isager Archives-kollektionen, foreslog en sød kursist, om ikke kollektionen skulle udkomme i børnestørrelser. Idéen var oplagt og helt i Åse Lund Jensens ånd, da hun var kendt for sine elskede sweatre til børn, som ofte også fandtes i voksenstørrelse, så mor og barn kunne matche.
Heldigvis var næsten alle designere med på idéen med en børnekollektion, og vi er derfor glade for at kunne lancere Little Isager Archives fra 2. september. Nogle af modellerne vil være præcise børneversioner af originalerne, mens andre blot vil have genkendelige elementer. Kollektionen styles og fotograferes af vores dygtige team, og opskrifterne udkommer, som de plejer, på designernes egne platforme. Alle 10 designs er naturligvis strikket i Isagergarn, og størrelserne er fra 2 – 12 år.
