MATERIALS AND MEASUREMENTS
MATERIALS
150 (200, 200, 250, 250) g Isager Tvinni = A
100 (100, 100, 100, 150) g Isager Tvinni = B
Several different alternatives for color combinations are possible.
Color B can be 50g Alpaca 1 and 50g Silk Mohair held together.
Or, another possibility is to knit the rows of the squares alternating with 2 different colors of Isager Tvinni.
If the bottom edge, the sleeve cuffs and neckband are worked in a different color, then 50g Isager Tvinni (= Color C) will be needed.
The last 2 rows of all bands can be edged in a different color (= Color D) using Isager Tvinni + Isager Silk Mohair held together and 10 g of each yarn will be needed.
Or, yet still another alternative to consider is to work the stockinette stripes of the entrelac blocks using intarsia technique. For this alternative, the stockinette rows nearest to the center of where the four squares join are done in Isager Silk Mohair held doubled. If this is desired, then 10g of each color are needed. A demonstration of how this option is done is shown in the alternative swatch description.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
The pullover is knitted from the bottom up. Work the triangles and squares in numerical order shown in the sketch. To visualize the shape of the pullover as a three-dimensional garment, it is highly recommended to copy the sketch and then cut out the image along the exterior lines and join together with scotch tape. It should then be understood and apparent that triangles on each edge identified as “1” are actually a full base triangle when taped together. And, the triangles identified as “13” are actually a square when taped together. The shoulders are represented by “30” and “31” which should be folded along the diagonal and taped to “25” and “26” respectively. The sleeves are picked up and knitted from the body out to the cuff in a chevron pattern.
RECOMMENDED NEEDLE SIZE
3 mm (US 2) working back and forth in rows using a 40 and 80 cm (16 inch and 32 inch) needles
A KNITTING LIFE – BACK TO TVERSTED
The book ‘A Knitting Life – Back to Tversted’ is a book about Marianne Isager’s first 20 years as a knitwear designer and as owner of the yarn company, ISAGER. The book contains stories and pictures from the 70s and 80s, and 15 new patterns with knitting instructions using the same techniques seen in designs from the two decades.
The book is available in Danish and English. The Danish title is: ET STRIKKELIV – TILBAGE TIL TVERSTED
