CONSTRUCTION NOTES

The sweater begins at the top of the neck and is worked downwards. In this way, it is easy to adjust the length of the body and the sleeves. After the yoke is constructed, separate the sleeves from the yoke and cast on stitches for the underarms. The body and the sleeves are then worked to their desired lengths. Finish the 2×2 ribbing for the bottom band and cuffs. Lastly, the neckband is completed in the 2×2 ribbing. Use smaller needle sizes for the ribbing bands so that they are not too loose. The length of the neckband can be adjusted to whatever length is desired.

RECOMMENDED NEEDLE SIZE

4 mm (US 6) in circular needle lengths of 40, 60 and 80 cm
3 or 3.5 mm (US 2 or 4) for the ribbed edges

The book is available in Danish and English. The Danish title is: ET STRIKKELIV – TILBAGE TIL TVERSTED
