Materials and measurements
MATERIALS
500 (550, 600) g Isager Tweed, Color Walnut, holding two strands together
The yarn can be wound together into a ball so that the two ends of the ball can be knitted together by holding one strand from the outside and the other strand from the inside of the ball. In this way the knitted fabric will not bias.
MEASUREMENTS
Chest Circumference: 110 (120, 130) cm or 43 (47, 51) inches
Length: 60 (65, 70) cm or 24 (26, 28) inches or desired length
Sleeve Length: 45 – 50 cm or 18 – 20 inches or desired length
CONSTRUCTION NOTES
The sweater is knitted from the bottom up on circular needles. The stitches for the sleeves are picked up along the armhole edge and knitted outwards to the cuff.
RECOMMENDED NEEDLE SIZE
3.5mm (US 4) in circular and double-pointed needles and 3mm (US 2) for the ribbing bands
GAUGE in pattern
18 stitches = 10 cm
24 rows = 10 cm

We find ourselves in Victorian England. And the independent and headstrong Bathsheba Everdene surprisingly inherits the estate of an uncle. As a young and beautiful woman, she is courted by three very different men: the impoverished shepherd, Gabriel Oak; the wealthy landowner, William Boldwood; and the fiery sergeant, Frank Troy. Which one of them will be her chosen one? Is she even ready for a man in her life? The film is very beautiful and very romantic. Carey Mulligan plays the beautiful Bathsheba, but I find it more difficult to keep my eyes from Matthais Schoenaerts in the role of Gabriel Oak. The inspiration for my design comes from a sweater worn by Bathsheba’s maid. In addition, many sheep can be seen in the film.
