Color A: 100 g – 1 strand of Isager Alpaca 3 in color 100
Color B: 50 g – 2 strands of Isager Highland in color Hay and 25 g – 1 strand of Isager Silk Mohair in color 59
Color C: 50 g – 1 strand of Isager Alpaca 3 in color 33
Color D: 50 g – 1 strand of Isager Jensen Yarn in color 12s and 25 g – 1 strand of Isager Silk Mohair in color 12
Color E: 50 g – 1 strand of Isager Jensen Yarn in color 97 and 25 g – 1 strand of Isager Silk Mohair in color 34
Color F: 50 g – 1 strand of Isager Alpaca 3 in color 1

Circumference: 57 cm [22½ inches]
Total length: 36.5 cm [14¾ inches]
CONSTRUCTION
The cowl is worked from the bottom up. The bottom rib is worked back and forth to create a slit along the side. Then the work is joined in the round and the cowl is worked in the charted pattern while at the same time color A and color B are divided so you now have twice as many stitches on the needle and can work in the round in double knitting. The cowl is finished with a rib edge where color A and color B are knitted together again.
Start by creating little balls for each of the colors that consist of more than more strand of yarn, i.e. color D and color E, to make the knitting easier.
RECOMMENDED NEEDLE SIZE
6.5 mm [US10½] and 6 mm [US10] circular needles, 40 cm [16 inches]
GAUGE
In rib (k1, p1) on a 6.5 mm [US10½] needle:
10 cm [4 inches] = 14 sts
10 cm [4 inches] = 18 rows
In double knitting on a 6 mm [US10] needle:
10 cm [4 inches] = 14 sts
10 cm [4 inches] = 21 rows
