MATERIALS

Model without Sleeve:
100 (150, 150, 200, 200, 250, 250) g Isager Palet, or 150 (150, 150, 200, 200, 250, 300) g Isager Baby
50 (50, 100, 100, 100, 100, 150) g Isager Trio 1, or 50 (50, 50, 75, 75, 100, 100) g Isager Mulberry Silk

Model with elbow-length Sleeve:
150 (150, 200, 200, 250, 250, 300) g Isager Palet, or 150 (200, 200, 250, 250, 300, 300) g Isager Baby
100 (100, 100, 100, 100,150, 150) g Isager Trio 1, or 50 (75, 75, 75, 100, 100, 125) g Isager Mulberry Silk

The qualities can be combined as you wish. Please note that I recommend Isager Trio 1 together with Isager Baby yarn. If you prefer a loose fit I advise you to go up one size in this particular quality, as the Isager Baby yarn tends to tighten a little when knitted. It will loosen during wear though.

MEASUREMENTS

The suggested positive ease for this design is 5 to 10 cm, depending on the personal preferred amount. Find a similar top in your wardrobe which suits you well and measure the circumference. Then, select the pattern size which is closest to the similar top. Note: The measurements provided below were taken before the top was washed.

Chest Circumference:
82 (90, 100, 108, 120, 130, 140) cm or 32 (35, 39, 42.5, 47, 51, 55) inches

Width from Sleeve to Sleeve:
51 (55, 60, 64, 70, 75, 80) cm or 20 (22, 24, 25, 28, 30, 32) inches

Width from Sleeve to Sleeve, elbow-length Sleeve:
79 (83, 88, 92, 98, 103, 108) cm or 31 (33, 34, 36, 39, 41, 43) inches

Total Length, measured on the Back from the highest point of the shoulder:
44 (48, 50, 56, 58, 62, 65) cm or 17 (19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 26) inches

CONSTRUCTION

The top is worked from sleeve to sleeve. Increases are made along the shoulder and at the underarm so that the top fits nicely. Stitches are then cast on for the Front and Back. The work is divided at the neckline – first, the Back is worked and then the Front. When the neckline is completed, the two sections are rejoined. Then, the stitches for the sides of the Front and Back are set aside and the work continues for the shoulder and underarm shaping of the second sleeve. Both edges of the Sleeves are completed with a simple edge and the side seams of the garment are joined together via a three-needle bind-off knitted from the front sides of the top.

The total length of the top can be adjusted by adding more or fewer stitches on the Front and Back.

RECOMMENDED NEEDLE SIZE

4.5 mm (US 7), Length 80 cm
4 mm (US 6), Length 40 cm

GAUGE
