CONSTRUCTION
First, stitches are cast on for the right shoulder of the back piece, which is worked with as a short section with increases. The same is done for the left shoulder. Then the two shoulder sections are joined by casting on the remaining stitches between them, and from there the back is knitted down to the given length. Next, stitches are picked up for the right and left front, which are worked separately with increases along the neckline, after which they are joined at the center front and knitted down to the given length. When front and back are joined, the body is worked in the round until the ribbing is knitted as the final border. Finally, the sleeves are knitted separately, as well as the neckline.
The sweater is completely seamless.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER'S INSPIRATION AND DESIGN PROCESS
Camilla Wiese (Wieseknit) writes about the design:
“Grace Sweater is inspired by Marianne Isager’s Majs Sweater. The beautiful graphic expression especially sparked my curiosity.
Throughout the design process, I quickly moved toward an expression that balances calm and movement. After countless experiments, sketches, and swatches, I arrived at the signature graphic and linear pattern: vertical lines that flow like a painterly echo, creating rhythmic calm and timeless strength.
The fit is slightly oversized with a modern silhouette, making it easy to style across wardrobes and seasons.
Grace Sweater is a tribute to contemporary Nordic knitwear – a design that carries its story gracefully from past to present.
I’m proud to be part of this collection. Working on Grace Sweater has been both enriching and inspiring, and I hope other knitters will experience the same joy, calm, and curiosity in the process as I did.”
ABOUT ISAGER ARCHIVES 2 - COLLECTION
