ABOUT SIZES
Note the large jump between the sizes. This is
because the shape follows the pattern repeat,
which runs across 12 stitches. This creates
a larger jump between sizes than you would
have on a stockinette stitch design, for example.
It’s a good idea to compare the measurements
of this sweater to a sweater you have,
which you like the fit of, before choosing which
size to knit. The measurements given above
are for the finished sweater, not body measurements.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES

The sweater is worked in the round from the bottom up. The body is divided at the armholes for front and back yoke and each section is worked back and forth and finished separately.
Each section ends with rib and short rows to shape the shoulders. The shoulder stitches are knitted together using the 3-needle bind off technique and then stitches are picked up and knitted for the sleeves along the armholes.
The sleeves are worked in the round and finished with decreases in the pattern.
The design has rib edges at the hem and cuffs. An Italian bind off and cast on is used.
