Eco Melange
Today, the new yarn Eco Melange is released; a wonderful ECO-yarn in five nature-colour combinations.
It was primarily the fine structure of the yarn that appealed to us. The soft core of Baby Alpaca inside a thin web of Fine Merino Wool make a super soft yarn, that is easy to knit with on fine knitting needles. The perfect yarn for beginners.
Suggestion for an easy project would be knitting a scarf, starting with casting on 2 stitches, and continuing in garter stitch increases are made at the beginning and end of each row. Other suggestions are EASY pullover and BARBARA Sweater from “A Knitting Life”.
Easy could be knitted in Jensen Yarn or Alpaca 3 as colour A, and one strand of Eco Melange as colour B; in regards to the Barbara pattern, Eco Melange could replace Isager Tweed.
In Marianne Isager’s next book she will use the yarn especially for designs with Fair Isle patterns.
The gauge for Eco Melange held together with Isager Tvinnni:
3mm needles: 28 stitches = 10 cm
3,5mm needles: 26 stitches = 10 cm
