SINGLE PATTERN
RYOANJI SKIRT
Today Ryoanji Skirt is released as a single pattern. This beautiful skirt is designed by Helga Isager in ISAGER SOCK YARN, and was originally released in LAINE magazine last year. We now have the rights to release the design as a single pattern and of course, we have translated it into many different languages.
Helga Isager got the inspiration for the skirt during a visit to Japan. Garments with ribbing details appeared to be omnipresent, and she found it interesting that you can accentuate the shape of the body in such a simplistic way. The ribbing pattern leads Helga’s mind to the Japanese Zen gardens like the famous Ryōan-ji Temple Rock Garden in Kyoto.
