Isager Soft Fine
63% Alpaca, 26% Silk and 11% Yak
Meterage: 150 m / 25 g
Product description
With its softness and brushed feel, ECO SOFT has become extremely popular, and we decided to introduce a similar but finer version. ISAGER SOFT is a tube yarn of cotton in which alpaca fibres are infused and it can only be produced as a thick yarn. ISAGER SOFT FINE has a core of silk on which a strand of alpaca and yak is added as a loopy bouclé, which is then finally brushed to make a fluffy yarn. Even if the production and the fibres are different to Isager Soft, we find quite a similarity in the textures of the two yarns. ISAGER SOFT FINE contains wool from yaks and the depth of the colours derives from the dark colour of the yak wool, – exactly as we know from the S-colours of white and black wool. Its softness compares to Silk Mohair, knitting with this yarn, however, is a completely different experience, especially when knitting with one strand only. The yarn is unbelievable soft and our inhouse-name for this yarn is ‘Isager’s cashmere’.

HOW TO WASH
Wool should be washed by hand unless you have a washing machine that uses lukewarm water (below 28° Celsius) and has a very gentle wool cycle.
To avoid felting, please observe the following:
Use very little soap and use a wool mark approved detergent. Be careful to keep the same temperature during the entire washing and rinsing process (not above 28° Celsius). After washing and rinsing place the garment in a washing bag and spin it lightly in a washing machine. Then place the garment flat on towel and leave to dry.
Woolen garments do not necessarily need washing very often. Airing outside in damp weather will often be sufficient. Yarns from cotton and yarns made from mixed fibres containing flax and bamboo could be washed in warm water, but still we recommend the same washing instructions as for wool.
HOT TO STORE
Always store yarn and knitwear in a plastic bag or densely woven cotton bag.
The insecticides available can have side effects and might cause allergic reactions and are therefore not advisable to use. Furthermore, a treatment with insecticides will last for approximately 3 months and will be washed out in the first washing.
