CONSTRUCTION NOTES

The pullover is worked from top to bottom. First, the stitches for the neckline are cast on and then more stitches are gradually added at each side. At the same time, the raglan stitches are marked and increases are done at each side of the raglans. When the required number of stitches for the neckline is reached, the work is joined in the round and the increases continue in every second round on each side of the four sets of 5-stitch raglans until the desired length of the yoke is reached. The sleeve stitches are set aside and new stitches are cast on at the underarm locations. The body stitches are worked in the round until the desired length of the sweater (without the bottom band) is reached. The bottom band is then worked in ribbing and then all stitches are bound off. The Sleeve stitches are returned to a needle and new stitches are picked up at the underarms. The Sleeves are worked in the round to the desired length and then are finished with ribbed cuffs. Finally, collar stitches are picked up and worked in ribbing stitch to the desired height.
