About the design
Knitthing (Tine Rousing) writes about the design:
Seashell Set consisting of top and skirt is my contribution to Isager’s Breeze collection. I have worked with a structure pattern which is a mix between the light lace pattern and the coarse patent pattern. The set is knitted in one strand of Trio 2 and worked from the bottom and up.
Top and skirt are shaped using the change between different circular needle sizes and thereby gain width at the bottom and a fine silhouette at the top. The fit is elegant and feminine.
The set is intended as ‘loungewear’ which you can wear after a swim in the summer or use as soft party wear with a slip underneath. The top and skirt can of course also be used separately.
NEEDLES
Circular needles 3.5, 3, 2.5 and 2 mm (60 or 80 cm)
GUAGE
Gauge in pattern using needle 3.5 mm:
15 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm
Gauge in pattern using needle 2 mm:
23 sts x 42 rows = 10 x 10 cm
