MATERIALS

The quantities identified below may vary depending on the desired width and length. Therefore, the quantities should be considered as a starting point and then adjusted for desired lengths and widths.

200 (200, 250, 250, 300) g Isager Uld 2
100 (100, 125, 125, 150) g Isager Silk Mohair
20 g Isager Spinni for the thin stripes either in one color or in different colors of Isager Spinni

This pullover will be worked using two strands of yarn held together throughout the entire work: one strand of Isager Uld 2 and one strand of Isager Silk Mohair. Then, in every 8th round, one strand of Isager Spinni will be added to the other two strands for the stripes. Thus, three strands of yarn will be held together.

Alternate yarn suggestion:

150 (150, 200, 200, 200) g Isager Spinni

MEASUREMENTS

It is recommended to measure an existing and well-fitting sweater that matches this design shape and yarn quality before starting to knit. Individually determined dimensions should then be matched to one of the following sizes:

Chest Circumference: 116 (122, 132, 140, 150) cm or 46 (48, 52, 55, 59) inches

Length: 50 – 65 cm or 20 – 26 inches or desired length. The design is worked from top to bottom.

Sleeve Length: 35 – 45 cm or 14 – 18 inches or desired length. The sleeve is worked from top to bottom.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES

The pullover is worked from the top to the
bottom. Begin by casting on neckline stitches and join to work in the round. At the same time, the four raglan “seams” are marked for the location where increases will be worked. Increases are worked on each side of the set of 5 raglan stitches at 4 locations around the yoke until the yoke is the desired length. From the RS facing, the 5 raglan stitches are: one knit, three purls, one knit. Then, the sleeve stitches on each side are placed on waste yarn and stitches at the underarm of each sleeve are cast on. Now, continue to work the body in the round to the desired length. The bottom band is worked in a ribbed pattern and then all stitches are bound off. Transfer the sleeve stitches to a short circular needle and pick up stitches along the underarm edge. The sleeve is shaped with decreases until the sleeve is the desired length. Then, a ribbed cuff is worked to the desired length, and the stitches are bound off. Finally, the collar along the neckline is worked in ribbing to the desired height and then all stitches are bound off.
