Product description

Isager Tannisby is a lightly spun, two-ply, 100% wool yarn with a wide range of uses. The yarn is both soft and strong with a slight sheen. When held together with Isager Silk Mohair, Isager Soft Fine, or Isager Alpaca 1, it looks beautiful on 5, 6 or 7 mm needles. The yarn can be used as a substitute for Isager Aran Tweed.

Tannisby: 6 mm needles / [US10]: 10 cm = 15 sts / 22 r
Tannisby + Silk Mohair: 5,5 mm needles / [US9]: 10 cm = 15 sts / 22 r

The yarn is made from wool from the sheep herd of Sheperd and Shearer Kasper Ledet Hansen. This herd grazes in our local area. We join Kasper when the sheep are sheared, and the wool is sorted
At Uldens Hus (House of Wool), Skagensvej 74, Tversted, the wool is washed, carded and spun
The wool comes peimarly comes from sheep of Romney- and Texel breed
