Tversted

The company Isager has been based in the upper northern part of Denmark since 1980 – more specifically the small Jutland village Tversted, which every summer flourish with life and many guests who enjoy nature and life here.

Vesterhav, Enjoying life,
In Tversted

The roaring North Sea, the beach and the beautiful dunes captivate most people who visit Tversted. The landscape here is fascinating and walking the many beautiful footpaths provide an atmosphere of peace and tranquility while experiencing nature.

The village is small but houses dedicated locals which in many ways means that the village, despite its small size, offers a number of events all year round. Right from the festival ‘JazzyDays’ to ‘Japan in Tversted’ as well as good places to eat, especially during summer.

For many years, nature around us has inspired our work with yarn and knitwear – both models and color range. Marianne Isager’s book “Twelve Knitted Sweaters from Tversted” is an example of this. Read more about the book here.

Arts & Crafts

The area offers a number of talented artists and craftsmen and every year a comprehensive guide is published to give the guest a quick overview of the working craftsmen, – painters, glass blowers, jewelry designers, ceramicists, just to mention af few. Our shop at Skagensvej is also listed in the guide.

The shop has a selection of quality yarns of natural fibers, patterns, knitwear and models that can be tried on before the knitting project is selected. Marianne Isager, Helga Isager and other associated designers are known for high quality knitting designs. We have a teaching room overlooking the dye garden and theĀ  grazing sheep.
