LyonMarianne Isager writes about the design
“Babette’s Feast is among the most popular designs in Isager’s Film Collection. Inspired by Karen Blixen’s classic novel, written under the pseudonym Isak Dinesen, and later adapted into a film, I envisioned Babette in this French Guernsey-inspired fisherman’s sweater as she fled France for Scandinavia – simple and timeless, just like her character in the film.
The sweater is knitted in Merilin and Trio 1 – yarn qualities that also appeal to men. That’s why I chose to incorporate Babette’s sinature cable into a clean, masculine design: Lyon.”
