The Nagoya Scarf is knitted using double knitting technique, which produces two layers of fabric at the same time with a single pair of needles. The “front” and “back” of the scarf show the same design but the colors are reversed. Or, in other words, the color of a rectangular shape on the “front” is the other color on the “back”.

Knitting Needles & Chopsticks
Knitting Needles & Chopsticks is a book about knitted scarves and shawls in combination with the Japanese cuisine. The knitted shawls and scarves are designed by Marianne Isager who has lived in Japan. In her designs, Marianne has focused on making both sides of the model equally beautiful, so the designs have no wrong side or right side.
The book contains 10 food recipes and 11 knitting patterns for shawls and scarves.
The designs are: Fukuoka, Gifu, Kobe, Kyoto, Mashiko, Nagoya, Nara, Osaka, Sapporo, Shimoda, Yokohama.
