SLEEVES
Pick up and knit 66 (66) 78 (78) sts (6 x 11 (11) 13 (13) sts) along the armhole edge with a short circular needle. Work 3 cm [1 1/4 inches] back and forth in pattern (same length as armhole), then join in the round and continue in pattern on a short circular needle or double-pointed needles. Mark the center 5 sts under the sleeve – see sleeve mark on chart. Work in pattern as on the body while working a decrease on both sides of the 5 marked sts every 4th (4th) 5th (5th) round until there are 30 (30) 40 (40) sts on the needle. Change to double-pointed needles when the circular needle becomes too big. Continue in pattern until the sleeve is 4-5 cm [1 1/2-2 inches] shorter than the desired final length. Change to a 4 mm [US6] needle and work 4-5 cm 4-5 cm [1 1/2-2 inches] in rib (k1, p1). Bind off using the Italian bind-off technique. Sew together the armhole and the 15 sts from the stitch holder for front and back.
