Then, work 8 cm in brioche pattern as follows:
Set-up Row (WS): K1, *Sl1YO, K2 tog* repeat from * to * until two stitch remains, Sl1YO, K1. There are now 85 stitches on the needles. Remember that the YO does not count as a stitch.
Row 1 (RS): K1, *Brk1, Sl1YO * repeat from * to * until one stitch remains, K1.
Row 2 (WS): K1, *Sl1YO, Brk1* Repeat from * to *, K1.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until the brioche section measures 8 cm in length and the final row is a WS row. (15 RS rows have been worked.)
Knit one row from RS: K1, *Brk1, K1 F&B* ending with Brk1, K1. There are again 126 stitches on the needles.
Work 6 rows in garter stitch.
End the garter stitch section after working across a RS row.
